it is not that easy to find amazing and suitable venue for the wedding in Munich area.

This amazing autumn wedding celebration was one, that was booked as a wedding photographer far in advance.
From the beginning of wedding preparation I was aware how difficult is to find a wedding venue in Munich and its surroundings if you are aiming for 30 guests and great hospitality. The most important for couple was a wish to provide best experience possible to all close people, parents, collegupges and friends who flew all over the world for their wedding celebration. They had a good budget for it and were ready to invest into the wedding memories, especially after the last wedding celebration were cancelled due to the covid.
Nevertheless, it was so surprising that so many wedding venues were ghosting them, or telling that they don’t have capacity to hold catering for 30 guests or others that were complaining that the number of guests were too small.

It took a while. Lots of emails were sent and then the perfect wedding venue were found in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.

Garmisch-Partenkirchen, located close to Munich, in the the Bavarian Alps. The charming village hidden off the beaten track is not your typical wedding celebration spot. This location is perfect for those people who like nature and great service.

The picturesque German village is combined by lovely houses with historical drawings. Garmisch-Partenkirchen offering a wonderful variety of small, locally-owned boutique hotels with character. I was there lots of times for the couple and engagement photo sessions. Few times I also took pictures for editorial fashion campaign there. There are so many great locations and background in Garmisch!
Couples deserves a backdrop as epic background for a wedding celebration as their love story. M and M were supporting each other leaving in different countries, then moving together to Munich, Germany. Couple went to the boutique hotel for tasting menu to ensure that all their foodie friends will be satisfied.

Preparation for the wedding day

Have you ever thought that couple photo session can provide great material for the wedding invitations? Correct!

That’s why we did a pre-wedding couple photo session in lavender fields close to Munich during the sunny day. Then we created special wedding invitations and couple sent them over to their guests.

Once all the vendors were booked, time flied.

One day before the wedding day there was a pre-wedding meet up dinner for everyone who came a bit in advance. That was a great chance for all to meet and get to know each other. Photography coverage for that evening brought nice memories and were added into the final wedding memories.

The hotel that were chosen as a wedding venue looks great and very cosy. It also has sauna and wellness area for warm and restful evenings with a fireplace or short recharge in the morning. One of another the benefits of Garmisch-Partenkirchen is it nature. Passion for bikes and wish of giving the best for the guests brought to the rental service. Couple rented bikes to them and their wedding guests. We all had a chance to ride through the innocent nature with perfect biking roads and breathtaking. mountain views.

Wedding morning went quite calm, but then groom told me that we don’t have time for wedding couple photo session. Imagine that?

Not the first time in my professional life. So I took my best speech out of the pocket and we manages to have 15 minutes with the mountain background. :) everyone were happy in the end.
Back to the wedding venue we were lucky enough to have a wedding ceremony on the terrace with a Mountain View just before the rain. It was already cloudy, but first drops came after the ceremony was finished.

Unfortunately, Garnish area is forbidden for drone photography, so we could not fly for some extra shots there.

Guests came inside for the cutting cake (couple planned it on purpose as so many times guests are already are full for the wedding cake in the end of the wedding dinner). Afterwards we came down to the main wedding venue for the celebration dinner which was delicious! And amazing wine too!

After each wedding day I am feeling so grateful! For me it’s a pure joy to watch how loved people are meeting and having great time together.
